This is a section devoted to programs and files. I will have the original host to download the file from, my own file that I host, some information on the file, and the name of the file. I will also tell whether or not my host is faster than the original host to download from, on the right I will have some opinions of mine, and on the left I have screenshots of each program. Hope you enjoy them!
MapStats

MapStats reads a map and gives you information about the map, such as number of strings, sprites, units, and other information.
MapStats can be useful when you are trying to see how much space you have before you hit the limits of SC, but if you are making a simple small map you probably won't need it.

OS Map

OS Map is a program that can unlock almost any locked map. You simply select the map, then it automatically unlocks it and then you save it where you want it.
When OS Map came out it caused a huge uproar, I support it, but all I gotta say is don't abuse it, use it to get sounds, or see triggers, don't use it for stealing maps, that's just dumb.

SC Downgrader 3

SC Downgrader will change your current patch to one you want. This comes with all the patches down to 1.05, while the original allows you to pick and choose.
Some things, like EUDs and glitchs have been patched, so you can get back to it with this, just pick which patch you need, and it will install, just make sure SC is turned off.

SCM Draft 2

SCM Draft 2 is the ultimate all-around map editor, it can do anything any other editor can do and more, it's all you need to make a decent map.
This editor rocks. Period. You can easily make entire maps with this single editor, although I wouldn't use it with other editors, because its string recycling can mess them up.

StarForge

StarForge has many good features such as square terrain, and map resizing, it can also lock maps to only open with StarForge or to not open at all.
StarForge has been known to cause a lot of bugs, like when you resize a map the 'Anywhere' location stays the same size, if you're going to use it make sure you make a backup first.

String Analyzer

Gives number of strings, and percentage of string usage, just open up your map and it immediately check the maps strings and gives you the counts.
Basically, MapStats makes this program obsolete, unless you really have to have a visual of the percent. But you might as well use it if all you need is string information.

An editor that does not actually give a visual of the map, but allows for password locking, string editing, player color editing, and many others.
This is kind of annoying, since it's compression recycles strings and deletes isometric terrain, so if you edit after compressing with this, your strings and terrain will be messed up.

A simple editor, great if you just can't take the other editors, since it is basically StarEdit with a smoother look and other abilities, such as stacking and colored text.
This is just a step up from StarEdit, so if you just can't stand SCM Draft 2, use it, otherwise I don't see a need for it. Also, it is annoying because it will delete sprites placed by other editors.
